Whether addressing ongoing needs like access to affordable housing or recent crises like COVID-19, Silicon Valley Community Foundation partners on solutions that enable all families in our community to lead equitable, financially secure, fulfilling lives.
Impact
Working to improve the lives of our neighbors throughout Silicon Valley
Our success is measured by the impact we make in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Our Community Action, Policy and Strategy team understands that to create a region with equitable access to opportunity for all residents, we must work in collaboration.
Our team brings together nonprofits and community-based organizations, local and state government, funders, companies, individuals and families to tackle our region’s biggest issues. We lead, support, facilitate and listen, and we direct investments where they are most needed.
Realizing our vision of a community where all people can afford their homes, all children receive a quality education and social-emotional support as they grow up, and all families can save for a rainy day and feel financially secure.
Ensuring that community-based organizations advancing a racial and economic justice agenda, particularly those led by Black and Indigenous leaders and leaders of color, have greater influence and more capacity to drive and lead change.
Leading multiple regional efforts to support those disproportionately burdened by crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and recent wildfires, particularly low-income families, low-wage workers, communities of color, undocumented immigrants, women and children.
SVCF makes grants to nonprofits with a wide range of scope and vision.
