On May 18, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, along with our partners from the Office of Planned Giving at Stanford University, hosted another successful Conference on Charitable Giving. This annual conference brings together estate attorneys, accountants, wealth managers and other professional advisors to learn about the latest trends in philanthropy and charitable giving.
Popular topics this year included: potential changes to the tax code under the new administration, and how they might affect philanthropy; new, popular and creative charitable vehicles; and multi-generational or family philanthropy.
It is always exciting to see experts in this field, as well as those starting out in their careers, network and learn from one another, with the goal of better serving their clients. We hope that attendees found the discussions fruitful, the topics relevant and were able to make positive connections with their peers. Thank you to all who joined us and we hope you will attend and bring your colleagues next year!
We want to extend a special thank you to all of the sponsors who made this conference possible. Thank you Wells Fargo, Wetherby Asset Management, Seiler, Merrill Lynch and Ferarri, Ottoboni, Caputo and Wunderling for your generous support.
