Gaming and entertainment company Electronic Arts (EA) has been a partner of Silicon Valley Community Foundation since 2005, leveraging the corporate advised fund and customized philanthropy services to make a difference in the communities where EA is located. Laura Miele, EA's executive vice president of global publishing, currently serves on SVCF's board of directors. To date, EA has donated $1 million to charities devoted to building inclusion in the tech space.
At its annual EA PLAY fan event in June, EA CEO Andrew Wilson shared details about Play to Give, a program designed to inspire EA's millions of game players - and its own employees - to use play to encourage and support diversity in the world of technology.
