SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HOLDS FIRST REGIONAL MEETING ON OCT. 15

MOUNTAIN VIEW – Silicon Valley Community Foundation starts a new tradition Oct. 15 with its first regional meeting at Cupertino’s Flint Center.

Donors, community leaders, corporate executives and others will come together to discuss the community foundation’s progress in creating a comprehensive center for philanthropy since its creation in January 2007.

Community foundation board members and leaders will look ahead to new programs addressing the region’s challenges and will review accomplishments. Additional topics include investment strategies to maximize philanthropic impact.

The meeting will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Flint Center on the DeAnza College campus. A reception follows from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public. Please register at the community foundation’s website, www.siliconvalleycf.org.
