COMMUNITY INVESTMENT GRANTS:
REDWOOD CITY TO GILROY
Community Investment grants are one-year general support grants for organizations serving residents in the geographic area of Redwood City to Gilroy. Grants of up to $20,000 are given to eligible nonprofits working in one or more of the following focus areas:
- Arts and cultural participation;
- Education and lifelong learning;
- Civic engagement; and
- Self-reliant individuals and families.
In an attempt to support the work of more nonprofits in the community, only those organizations that are not currently supported by an Organizational Effectiveness grant are eligible to apply for a Community Investment grant. Eligible organizations may not apply for a Community Investment grant and an Organizational Effectiveness grant at the same time.
How to Apply
A grant information meeting will be scheduled and held in January 2008, approximately one month before the proposal deadline of Feb. 15. The meeting will give you the opportunity to learn more about our grants process and talk with a program officer. Attendance at this meeting is not required for nonprofits to apply for a grant.
You may submit a proposal to the community foundation for up to $20,000. Your written proposal should be typed in 11-point font or larger. Responses should not exceed five pages in length. All applications must include the completed community investment grants application form and budget sheet.
Deadline: February 15, 2008.
