Jill Breymann
GRANTMAKING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Jill joined Silicon Valley Community Foundation's grantmaking team in May 2008. She works closely with the vice president of the grantmaking department and supports program officers and assistants in the giving department.
Before moving to California, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Coe College in Iowa and her master’s degree in Zoo and Aquarium Studies from Western Illinois University. During school and after graduation she worked with marine mammals, domestic animals, and mentally and socially challenged children.
After relocating to California, she became a volunteer at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito while continuing her work in the veterinary field. She is currently a candidate for a Certified Veterinary Technician degree in the Foothill College program.
Jill's aspirations include opening and managing a nonprofit rehabilitation center for marine mammals.
In her spare time, Jill directs a handbell choir, sings in a vocal choir and plays flute in an orchestra at Bethel Church of San José. She also enjoys running with her dogs, cuddling with her cats and spending quality time with the love of her life.
