CASEY SHOOK
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
As development assistant, Casey provides administrative support by ensuring thorough communication among all three units of Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s development department, maintaining the staff schedule and monitoring the department’s budget. She also aids in coordinating events and meetings and routing outside inquiries.
Casey graduated from Seattle University in June 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and minors in women’s studies and Spanish. While in Seattle, she worked in the development department at the 5th Avenue Theatre Association, the Northwest’s largest musical theater and debut stage for many up-and-coming Broadway productions. On campus, she was very involved with her school’s radio station, serving as a weekly on-air DJ for three years and as programming director for two. She was a founding member of the university’s first Gay-Straight Alliance and also volunteered with Providence Hospitality House, a temporary residence for homeless mothers and their children seeking support during their search for long-term housing.
Born and raised in Silicon Valley, Casey enjoys going to Capitola and neighboring beach towns, attending concerts of local bands and spending time with her significant other, Jason.
