CASEY SALM
DONOR ENGAGEMENT ASSISTANT

Casey is the assistant to the vice president of donor engagement at Silicon Valley Community Foundation. She also provides administrative support to donor engagement officers and the donor engagement department

Prior to joining the community foundation, Casey worked in development at TheatreWorks. She has also held two internships in special events and worked in retail. Casey graduated magna cum laude from San José State University and holds a degree in creative arts and a minor in justice studies. She is an eighth-generation native of San Francisco and feels that she has gained a great deal of perspective regarding how best to serve the community through her unique upbringing. She attended bilingual elementary and middle schools and participated in a program for native Spanish speakers in high school.

Though she’s left her heart in San Francisco she makes her home in the South Bay with two incorrigible cats, Buddy and Chase. She loves animals and enjoys seeing movies, travelling and whenever possible, relaxing in the sun on the beach.
